Temperature: In November, 22°C to 33°C

What to Wear

Light clothing is ideal especially if you want to venture outdoors.  At night it gets chilly due to gust out of North East Monsoon.

During the conference, smart casual must be fine.  You may bring a shawl or summer jacket because it might get colder inside the conference venue.

In Manila, taxi is always available in front of your hotel.  All taxicabs have air-conditioning and flag down rate is Php 30.00.  However, Php 60.00 for Yellow Cab Fleet and it has reliable meter counter and air-conditioning.  These are ubiquitous at international airport.

If you want to roam around Metro Manila, you may ride a bus, jeepney and Metro train.  They are more efficient for sight seeing and to witness local colors.

During the conference, the venue, Puerto Princesa City Coliseum, is a few minutes jeepney or tricycle ride from your hotel.

The current here is 220 volts.  If you have round and prolonged plugs, make sure to bring an adaptor.

Wi-fi internet connections are available in Turisimo Inn and Asturias Hotel.  Please ask hotel personnel for assistance.

The conference will be capped with an eco-tour to St. Paul Subterranean River in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.  It is one of the nominees for 7 New Wonders of Nature.  There are also site-visits to various materials recovery facilities (MRFs) in the city of Puerto Princesa.

Optional eco-tours will also be available such as in Honda Bay (island hopping), Dos Palmas (snorkeling) and the Puerto Princesa City Tour.

Note:  While enjoying the scenic beauty of Puerto Princesa, make sure to bring sun block lotion and bug spray for a comfortable and fantastic stay in the eco-tourism capital of the Philippines.
